PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the printing of a printer and a printing system capable of outputting continuous print jobs to a printer connected to a network. SOLUTION: A client terminal designates the continuous printing of two print data to a print server 2, and transmits those print data, and issues a printing request. The print server transmits the first print data through a network to the printer, and allows the printer to print the first print data based on the printing request. The printer server transmits a continuity command through the network to the printer after transmitting the first print data, and turns the printer into a print data reception waiting state. The printer server transmits the second print data through the network to the printer after transmitting the continuity command, and allows the printer to print the second print data. Thus, the first print data and the second print data can be continuously printed. |
