PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle drive support device, capable of switching a camera to a different function, using a simple structure and acquiring a proper image according each function. SOLUTION: This device comprises a white line recognition ECU 51 for displaying by the use of a camera 2 arranged in the rear part of a vehicle, the image thereof on a display device 4 within the cabin in backward movement, and recognizing the lane position from the acquired image in forward movement, and a deviation alarm ECU 52 for emitting alarm by an alarm 54 to a driver, when the fear of deviation of the vehicle from the lane is determined from the recognition result and the vehicle behavior. This device further comprises a shift position sensor 4 for detecting whether the vehicle is set in a backward state; addition parts A and B for performing photometry for areas designated by a division part 13 in the imaging area of the camera 2; and a control part 10 for switching the photometric range according to the shift position and adjusting the exposure of the camera 2, according to photometric result. |
