PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate any file overflow generated during processing to the utmost. SOLUTION: The number of output files when data are processed in a leading step 1 of a leading job 1 is counted, and the counted number of output files is compared with the number of initial files which is preliminarily set in a file information table 2, and when the counted number of the output files is greater than the number of the initial files, file extension is operated to all files 11-14 to be used in the job 1 on the basis of a parameter (rate) set in the file information table 2.
