CARBON NANOFIBER COMPOSITE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon nanofiber composite in which carbon nanofibers are grown in high density on a surface of a substrate. SOLUTION: A substrate 1 that is a solid solution phase consisting of a transition metal oxide and a nonreducible metal oxide is heated up in a methane gas and then the transition metal oxide is reduced and the transition metal is formed on the surface of the substrate and then the carbon nanofibers 2 are precipitated from this transition metal.
