PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle condition detector capable of correctly detecting the condition of a vehicle when entering or moving out of a mechanical parking facility by a simple configuration, and safely and reliably controlling the parking facility. SOLUTION: Images of front and back edges of a vehicle 100 stopped at the carry-in waiting position of the mechanical parking facility are picked up by a front edge image pickup camera 11 and a back edge image pickup camera 12, and a vehicle condition analyzing means 3 detects the vehicle length or the stop position by a template matching using the front edge image pickup data S1, and the back edge image pickup data S2 and front and back standard data SREF1 and SREF2. The vehicle condition can be easily and reliably detected only by detecting the front edge and the back edge of the vehicle. |
