PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comparison/authentication device of an image capable of authenticating whether a comparing object and a compared object are the same or not, knowing simultaneously of the authentication reason, and determining similarity between both objects. SOLUTION: This picture authentication device has an image processing part for mosaicking images of the comparing object and the compared object, a clustering part for executing self-organizing learning on the image of the mosaicked registered object, and executing two-dimensional mapping processing of the result, and a display part for displaying the result on a two-dimensional map. The device has a comparison device of the image capable of determining visually the similarity between the comparing object and the compared object; the image processing part; the clustering part; the display part; and an authentication part, and can determine the sameness or the degree of the similarity visually by determining to which cluster of the image of the compared object, a neuron reacted when image data of the mosaicked comparing object is inputted into the two-dimensional map is most similar. |
