PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inner permanent magnet motor having reduced impedance and reactive power, and protecting the magnets from demagnetizing. SOLUTION: In a motor having a rotor core 2 with a yoke made of stacked silicon steel sheets and plural slots 4 formed on the outer surface of the rotor core 2 and field permanent magnets put inside the slots to form the magnetic poles, the rotor core surface arc on the outer side of the slots 4 has a radius rb different from the radius ra of the rotation from the center, making the gap larger at both edges of the slot than at the slot center. Thus, the equivalent gap is made larger and the magnetic flux density curve in the gap is made similar to a sine curve. |
