PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency-converting circuit which has two frequency converter, can perform frequency conversion without using frequency doublers, can be simplified in circuit configuration, and can be reduced in power consumption and cost. SOLUTION: This frequency converting circuit uses a PLL circuit as the local oscillator of a first frequency-converting means and the local oscillator of a second frequency-converting means as the reference oscillator of the PLL circuit. Consequently, the second frequency-converting means can convert the frequency of the output signal of the first frequency-converting means, based on the reference frequency signal of the reference oscillator. Therefore, the circuit can perform frequency conversion, without using frequency doublers, can be simplified further in circuit configuration, and can be reduced in power consumption and cost.
