PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an output power density when using air as an oxidizing agent by preventing water from remaining in a cathode in an electrode for a solid polymer electrolyte fuel cell with a high utilization factor and small amount of catalyst metals to carry. SOLUTION: In the electrode for a solid polymer electrolyte fuel cell equipping with a gas diffusion layer and a catalyst layer including positive ion exchange resin and the catalyst metals, the catalyst metal amount being carried on a carbon particle surface contacting with a proton conduction route of the positive ion exchange resin exceeds 50 wt.% of all catalyst metal amount and comprises porosity resins within the electrode. |
