PRESS FITTING CONNECTOR AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a jack terminal from falling out of a housing without using a jig or a special part when pressing the jack terminal into a circuit board for mounting. SOLUTION: A bottom plate part 41 is formed by molding in the condition that a fall preventing projection 37 projected in the cross direction from a main piece 35 of a jack terminal 20 is embedded in the bottom plate part 41 of a housing 21. When pressing a tip of each jack terminal 20 into each via hole 52 of a circuit board 51, since the fall preventing projection 37 is embedded in the bottom plate part 41, a fall of the jack terminal 20 upward the housing 21 is prevented, against the press-in reaction of the jack terminal 20.
