PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for replacing component capable of simply and economically replacing components with highly accurate positioning. SOLUTION: An apparatus 1 for replacing component comprises a holder 20 for holding a component 50 to be replaced, a head 10 capable of being connected to and removed from the holder 22, and a guide bar 13 for guiding a head 10 in a direction of approaching to and separating from a wiring board 6. The component 50 to be replaced is removed from the wiring board 6 by holding the component 50 to be replaced on the wiring board 6 with the holder 20, unifying the head 10 with the holder 20, and moving them from the wiring board in a separating direction. A replacing component 55 is mounted on the wiring board 6 by removing the component 50 to be replaced from and attaching the replacing component 55 to the holder 20, and approximating the head 10 to the wiring board 6. |
