PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for automatic ticket examination capable of easily reaching a destination station by using a cellular phone. SOLUTION: A telephone call from the cellular phone of a user is received to confirm an identity. When the identity is confirmed, a permission of ticket examination is given to the user. After the cellular phone is recognized by an automatic ticket examining machine, a ticket examination station code is transmitted from the automatic ticket examining machine to instruct the opening of a ticket examination door to the automatic ticket examining machine transmitting the ticket examination station code.
