PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a difference detection camera for accurately detecting the difference of pictures for subjects with unclear contours without increasing the data quantity of difference-detected pictures beyond necessity. SOLUTION: The difference detection camera comprises an MCU decoder 7 for acquiring a 0-th order DCT coefficient, a first-order DCT coefficient and a second-order DCT coefficient among DCT(discrete cosine transform) coefficients of a reference picture (Fig. 7) for comparison and real time picture (Fig. 8), and an information comparator 14 for comparing the acquired DCT coefficients each other to detect the difference. |
