METHOD FOR EFFICIENT ERROR DETECTION AND SYNCHRONIZATION OF DIGITAL AUDIO AND VIDEO INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in which the representation of audio and video information is synchronized when a more precise system clock or a higher- resolution hardware clock lacks. SOLUTION: The detection of an index (sync-word) in one stream is executed by using a bit-aligned clock, and a more precise and accurate clock mechanism is created. A predefined table is used to detect an index inside a two-word boundary. When the index is detected so as to detect a bit shift, all succeeding data inside the same packet are shifted by the same bit number as the shift of the index. A system time clock(STC) is generated on the basis of the arrival of time stamp information.
