PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a frame even if a memory region is small by a method wherein hourly mutual correlation values between reception signals and synchronous word patterns of two frames are obtained by successive maximum value retrieval. SOLUTION: A maximum value of a square of an amplitude of an hourly mutual correlation value between a reception signal and a synchronous word pattern and a sample number corresponding to the maximum value are stored in respective memories of a 1st frame. Concerning successively received 2nd-Mth frames, the respective maximum values of the squares of the amplitudes of the hourly mutual correlation values and the sample numbers corresponding to the maximum values are stored in the respective memories. Two sample numbers selected among the M sample numbers corresponding to the M maximum values are compared with each other, the last symbol of the synchronous word patterns in one frame is determined, and the symbols corresponding to the number of samples determined by a frame fomat are counted back. With such a constitution, the frame can be detected without using a memory region corresponding fully to the number of samples in one frame. |
