PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information management system which securely prevents unauthorized access to personal information even when the personal information is made usable through a communication line such as the Internet. SOLUTION: This information management system 100 is equipped with a main storage device 10 which stores the personal information, a subordinate storage device 20 which temporarily stores part of the personal information, a 1st computer 30A which requests ID information to be inputted and the personal information to be disclosed, and a host computer 40 which can be connected to the computer through the communication line such as the Internet and is connected to the main storage device 10 and subordinate storage device 20. The host computer 40 is disconnected from the main storage device 10 when the 1st computer 30A is connected, disconnected from the 1st computer 30A when authenticating ID information inputted from the 1st computer 30, and transfers the personal information corresponding to the ID information from the main storage device 10 to the subordinate storage device 20. Desired personal information is taken out of the subordinate storage device.
