PURPOSE: A system and a method for the Internet site surfing and information search using a remote controller are provided to easily surf the Internet sites and search the information by making an Internet television user input a condensed specific number with a remote controller. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises an Internet television(100) of user consisting of a browser(101), an operation system(102), an Internet protocol(102), an interface and signal controller(104), a remote controller(106), an output part(107), an RF receiver(105) and a connection part(108), a server(110) consisting of a connection part(111) connecting to the Internet, an interface(111), an operation system(113), an Internet protocol(114), a WWW server(117), a program(116), a database manager(115), a database(118) and a web site manager(119), and the Internet. The remote controller comprises a LED as an infra red transmitter transmitting a remote control signal to a computer or Internet television, a power key of the Internet television, an Internet connection key, a number key, a function key, a direction key, a ball mouse and an enter key.
