PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attempt sales promotion by readily acquiring merchandise information when receiving a merchandise order in a mail order and performing efficient merchandise guidance in regard to a merchandise guidance support system for performing merchandise guidance processing, when receiving the merchandise order in mail order. SOLUTION: In a merchandise information providing system 11, a guidance file preparing means 24 acquires an order reception processing file from a host side, in according to acquired merchandise application data and inputs the application data, an information-expanding means 22 accesses a server side, expands an substitutive merchandise guidance information table, a combination merchandise guidance information table and an information table, having the dimensions data of each merchandise which are appropriately provided in the server side, specifies prescribe guidance information, acquires corresponding guidance information from the guidance information database of the server side and prepares each merchandise guidance file of merchandise guidance information, and a display means 26 displays each merchandise guidance file. |
