SOLUTION: This merchandise information management method for managing the information regarding the merchandise is provided with a warranty retrieval procedure for retrieving warranty information corresponding to purchased merchandise identification information received from the customer terminal of the customer from a sales information management data base where the purchased merchandise identification information for identifying the merchandise purchased by the customer and the warranty information for indicating the guarantee contents of the merchandise are managed, an item reporting procedure for reporting plural request items to the customer terminal together with the warranty information retrieved by the warranty retrieval procedure and a request processing procedure for performing a request processing corresponding to the reception of the specified request item from the customer terminal.
