摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a predetermined beam-cover pattern in an expandable antenna system used on an spacecraft 20, which can move from the accommodation position to the expanded position. SOLUTION: This antenna system 10 comprises more than one feeder horn assembly (assemblies) 11 which is to be attached fixedly to a spacecraft and a rotatable hinge 12 attached to the spacecraft. A virtually rigid reflector support structure 13 is attached to the hinge and rotates around the hinge axis. A main reflector assembly 16 (and an arbitrary adjusting mechanism 18) is attached to a support structure lower part 14, and a subreflector is attached to a support structure upper part 15. The subreflector is fixed in relation to the main reflector assembly, and in relation to more than one feeder horn assembly (assemblies). When the antenna system is in the expanded position, the antenna system forms the predetermined beam-cover pattern.
