PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a server for document approval system and a document approving method, which do not stop the flow of a document for approval. SOLUTION: The server for document approval system is connected to the client of a document generator and the clients of a plurality of document approvers and the document generated in the client of the document generator is approved along a previously set approval path by the plurality of clients. The server is provided with a means receiving the designation of the path for the jump branching of the document and a condition for jump branching in the approval path from the client of the document generator or the clients of the plurality of document approvers, a judging means judging whether the approval situation of the document is matched with the received condition of the jump branching or not and a transfer control means which jump-branches the transfer destination of the document along the received designation of the path when affirmation judgment is obtained.
