PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distribution type control system in which automatic equivalence processing is enabled by a high order controller excellent in quality without loading equivalence processing on low order equipment. SOLUTION: In this distribution type control system, input pulse operating units 41A, 41B set on an operating side and a standby side perform prescribed processing on input data, and hold the results in input data registers 51A, 51B. A differential computing element 48 performs equivalence processing of the held data. When generation of a trouble is detected on the operating side of the input pulse operating units, the operating side and the standby side are switched over. Similarly, output pulse operating units 42A, 42B set on the operating side and the standby side perform prescribed processing and hold outputted residual pulses in input data registers 57A, 57B. A differential computing element 49 performs equivalence processing of the held data. When generation of a trouble is detected on the working side of the output pulse operating unit, the working side and the standby side are switched over. As a result, the equivalence processing of high reliability is realized.
