The damper comprises a cylindrical casing filled with hydraulic fluid and containing a piston, fixed to one end of a rod, which delimits first and second (20) chambers. The chambers communicate with a fluid throttling module (36) inside the casing which comprises a body (50) internally delimiting a fluid flow path. Upstream of this body is a throttling diaphragm (72) for one part of the fluid and a slide valve which comprises an internal conduit (98) which delimits with the body a diversion path (92) for the throttling of the other part of the fluid.
