PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for reproducing information that can increase the reproducible number of times dramatically without deteriorating a characteristic of a mask layer. SOLUTION: The device for reproducing the information is formed by laminating a layer 10 recording and reproducing the information and a mask layer 4 having a mask effect that increases photo transmittances when light intensity of irradiation is intensified and is one of an optical disc that narrows an optical spot diameter transmitting the mask layer more substantially than an optical spot diameter incident on the mask layer and is irradiated to a layer recording and reproducing the information. It is provided with an optical pickup 12 irradiating laser light to the optical disc and a controller 24 controlling the optical pickup so as to irradiate the laser light successively and repeatedly to several tracks near a specific track containing the specific track when the reproduction of the specific track is designated. Thereby, it can increase the reproducible number of times dramatically without deteriorating the characteristic of the mask layer. |
