PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-film solar battery for completely breaking the electric continuity between a transparent conductive film on a transparent substrate at a side where a semiconductor layer or an electrode is formed, and the side surface of the transparent substrate, and for securing sufficient insulation resistance even if a high voltage is applied. SOLUTION: In the thin-film solar battery, a transparent conductive film, a semiconductor film, and an electrode are laminated on a transparent substrate successively, and the peripheral section of the transparent conductive film is removed over an entire periphery along with the surface layer of the peripheral section of the transparent substrate. |
