PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte having a novel chemical structure used for an electrochemical device such as a lithium battery, a lithium ion battery or an electric double-layer capacitor, and a battery using the same. SOLUTION: The electrolyte for the electrochemical device comprises the chemical structure represented by a general formula (1) and the battery comprises using the electrolyte, where M is a transition metal, III-, IV- or V- group element in a periodic table, and Aa+ is a metallic ion or a proton or an onium ion. |
