摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid polymer fuel cell that can be operated without being humidified, and in which the operating conditions are not limited by the property values of water (the boiling point, the freezing point, the stream pressure or the like). SOLUTION: In a solid polymer type liquid cell provided with an electrode having a diffusion layer and a catalytic layer and a solid polymer electrolytic membrane in which the electrodes are bonded to the both sides through the catalytic layer, the solid polymer type liquid cell is provided with a nonaqueous solvent that has non-erodibility against a solid polymer electrolyte and that is impregnated with the catalytic layer and the solid polymer electrolytic membrane. An organic solvent having at least one out of the relative permittivity of water or higher, the boiling point of water or higher, the freezing point of water or lower, or the stream pressure of water or lower is preferably used for the nonaqueous solvent. A proton donor that dissolves in the nonaqueous solvent is preferably included in the nonaqueous solvent.
