PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incandescent lamp for an automobile that surely radiates the light of high color temperature with an easy manufacturing method. SOLUTION: An incandescent lamp for an automobile of this invention is provided with a filament 2 arranged inside a arc tube 1 composed of a glass having a means 4 for absorbing a red light, and a high refractive index single- layer film 5 having refractive index (n) of 1.8 or more and optical film thickness (nd) of 200 to 250 nm on the outer surface of the arc tube 1.
