PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trace analysis support system to facilitate enhancement of comprehension of operation of a program, specification of a cause of failure and furthermore, discovery of improvement point. SOLUTION: Pieces of necessary and sufficient trace information are continuously extracted and recorded for an investigation area of a program operation to be requested by a user. An operation in the case of execution of the program is virtually reproduced by a trace at a source code level and in this case, the trace information is displayed. Adjustment of information quantity such as to give detailed or rough providing information limited to a noticing point is realized by categorization of the trace information and concealment of the information based on program structural information. In addition, the flow of sequential control of the program or the flow of data is visualized by an event trace chart and it is displayed linked with a source code.
