PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seawater battery for an underwater vehicle capable of controlling a navigation speed without affected by a voltage drop and a leakage current flowing between cells. SOLUTION: A battery 1 is provided which is used as a propulsion power source for the underwater vehicle which navigates underwater. The battery 1, in which a plurality of cells are connected in series, is housed in a case 2 which is provided with a water inlet 6, a conduit 3, a scupper 7, and a drainage 4. At least one of the water inlet 6 and the scupper 7 is provided with an opening degree adjusting member 5 for adjusting opening degree of the water inlet 6 or the scupper 7.
