<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mount electronic component in which the range for indicating the polarity or rating or the company mark thereof is enlarged so that the indication can be confirmed visually after the chip capacitor is mounted on a printed board. SOLUTION: The surface mount electronic component comprises a capacitor body 1 having a plurality of leads led out from the same end face, and a counterbore 2 disposed to abut on the sealing end of the capacitor body 1 while having terminals 3, 3' being connected with the leads electrically and also connected with a printed board along the lower surface thereof, wherein specific indications 5 are provided at such positions on the surface of the insulating plate as they can be confirmed on the plan view when the surface mount electronic component is mounted on the printed board.</p> |
