PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily set image processing and recording control, in response to recording paper and ink of many and diversified variations desired by a user in an ink jet printer. SOLUTION: Recording paper size information written in a storage medium, provided to a media pack C100 loaded to a camera with a built-in printer, is read (#5), image processing is applied to recording object image information, on the basis of the size information, in order to display an image to be recorded on recording paper of the size, and the image is displayed (#14, #15). When recording, the recording resolution of a printer section and the number of recording dots decided by the size information as compared on the basis of the size information of recording paper that is read similarly to the case with the image processing above, and the image processing that is magnification or reduction processing is applied to the image information which is a recording object depending on the comparison (#20). Then the printer section records the image, on the basis of the image information whose image size is decided (#21).
