PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a credit card to certify that a merchandise purchaser is of purchase qualification age and to realize cashless sales. SOLUTION: When the credit card 21 or a certification card 22 is inserted into a card insertion port of a vending machine 1, whether a card owner reaches the purchase qualification age is determined, based on the age information recorded in the card, and if he is of the age, the vending machine 1 is put in a cash sale enabled conditions. When a button 181 is depressed in this condition, if the card is the credit card 21 and an input password from a tenkey part 182 matches with a password recorded in the card, an inquiry concerning whether cashless sale is possible is made for a credit company 2; and if the sale is possible, the vending machine 1 is put in a cashless sales enabled conditions. Here, when merchandise is sold, it demands for the credit company 2 to collect sale charges from the account of the card owner. |
