Bituminous emulsions comprise at least one binder, water, at least one cationic, anionic and non-ionic emulsifier, at least one anti-stripping additive in form of alkaline (e.g. sodium or potassium) phosphate, preferably sodium phosphate. Anti-stripping additive has formula (PO3M)n M = alkaline metal , e.g. Na or K, preferably Na; n = at least 1, preferably at least 2, and especially 4-30. Independent claims are also included for: (1) preparation of bituminous emulsion, during which anti-stripping additives are mixed with cationic, anionic and nonionic emulsifiers before formation of emulsified or disperse phase, either in emulsifying phase before making of emulsion, or in emulsion, at any moment between the end of emulsifying and the actual use of emulsion; (2) material obtained by contacting a) granulates, especially basic or road surface support and bituminous emulsion as claimed; and b) granulates wetted with water or with aqueous solution of anti-stripping additive, preferably of concentration 10-400 g/l, with additive represented by formula as described above; (3) road surfacing obtained by compacting the above material. |
