PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a carbon material at low cost, which is suitable for a negative electrode material of a Li ion secondary battery and has the efficiency of charging and discharging of 80% or more, by utilizing a decomposing reaction of a carbon hydride using a catalyst. SOLUTION: In the decomposition reaction of the carbon hydride using the catalyst, the carbon hydride is mixed with an inert gas or hydrogen, a carbon separating speed is 155 mg/hr.g-catalyst or less and has a preferably adjusted range of 10-100 mg/hr.g-catalyst, a preferable reaction temperature is preferably 300-1000 deg.C and a used catalyst includes at least one or more of iron, nickel and cobalt. |
