PURPOSE: A steering repulsive force device for an electric steering system of a vehicle is provided to supply proper steering repulsive force according to a vehicle speed while reducing the cost required for forming an eddy current brake. CONSTITUTION: A steering repulsive force device for an electric steering system of a vehicle includes an upper steering shaft(9) mounted with a steering wheel(1), a lower steering shaft(10) connected to a torsion spring(14) at an end and mounted with a circular copper plate(12), an acceleration gear box(11) for accelerating the rotation of the upper steering shaft to transmit the accelerated rotation of the upper steering shaft to the lower steering shaft, a steel core(16) mounted between both ends of the copper plate and wound with a coil(15) to be magnetized as a current is supplied, a current controller(17) for supplying a current of a battery to the coil, and an electronic control unit(3) for controlling the current controller for supplying the coil with a strong current at a high speed while a weak current at a low speed according to vehicle speed information applied from a wheel speed sensor(8).
