The rearview mirror comprises a casing (32) with a first opening (37) emerging in the vehicle exterior (5) and a second opening (38) emerging in the vehicle interior (3). A divergent lens (34) is located opposite the first opening and a convergent lens (35) opposite the second opening. A mirror (36) is located so that an entering light ray which passes through the divergent lens is reflected inside the vehicle by passing through the convergent lens. A first prism (41) is interposed between the divergent lens and the mirror and a second prism (42) is interposed between the convergent lens and the mirror.
