PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peripheral equipment managing device, etc., which can automatically decide that peripheral equipment is moved or replaced and keep the resource environment of peripheral equipment on a network constant. SOLUTION: When a resource is downloaded, a system comprising the peripheral equipment connected to the network, a server, and a personal computer manages two kinds of addresses, i.e., an equipment characteristic address like a MAC address and an address that a user can set like an IP address on the server together with the resource to be downloaded and compares those MAC address and network address with information managed periodically on the server to automatically decide that the equipment is moved or replaced. |
