PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a very reliable oxidation-resistant film to be formed on the surface of a rare earth permanent magnet represented by Nd2Fe14B alloy. SOLUTION: Electrolysis is carried out in an electrolyte composed of an organic solvent and a triazone dithiol derivative dissolved in it, making a rare earth permanent magnet serve as an anode, by which a film obtained by electrolyzing the triazone dithiol derivative is formed on the surface of the rare earth permanent magnet. When the film is formed, water causing rust on the magnet is not used. The film has water-repellent properties and non-directional, so that it is more reliable than a conventional oxidation-resistant film. |
