PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system to furnish product information in real time in a simple, efficient and cost-effective way in a global computer network environment and implement electronic ordering of goods quickly. SOLUTION: In response to an on-demand request for a Web page containing a sales promotion item of a product, a server transmits to a client the Web page and a supplementary file containing descriptive data relating to the sales promotion item. Incorporated in the client's resident applications are an image generator to display an image of each item from a catalog page, a descriptive data generator to display a supporting data on each item and an order panel generator to display a shopping basket remaining in the same page as the resident image.
