PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery superior in battery characteristics including a cycle characteristic, electric capacity and a shelf life characteristic. SOLUTION: The lithium secondary battery comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a non-aqueous electrolytic solution having an electrolyte dissolved in a non-aqueous solvent. The positive electrode is formed of a material containing a lithium composite oxide, the negative electrode is formed of a material containing graphite, and the non-aqueous solvent contains dominantly cyclic carbonate and chain carbonate where the non-aqueous electrolytic solution contains a 0.001-0.8 wt.% alkoxybenzene derivative such as 1,2,4- trimethoxybenzene and a 0.1-10 wt.% alkyne derivative such as methane sulfonic acid 2-propynyl. |
