PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dividing a hard disk into multiple independent areas for preventing data in each area of the divided hard disk form being surreptitiously glanced, changed, or destroyed or the like. SOLUTION: This method comprises a step for dividing a hard disk into multiple independent virtual hard disks, a step for defining the designation, attribute, and size of each virtual hard disk, a step for constituting the selection menu of the virtual hard disk according to the contents of the definition, a step for confirming the information of the hard disk outputted by a mother board, and for receiving the detected signal, and for feeding back the defined information of the virtual hard disk to the mother board so that the virtual hard disk selected by a user can be detected by an operation system in the mother board, and a step for transferring a reading and writing operation to the hard disk of the mother board to the selected virtual hard disk.
