PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chassis and a driving device for the disk tray of an optical disk driver low in manufacturing cost and resistant to a high temperature. SOLUTION: This combination of a driving device and a chassis for the disk tray of an optical disk driver is provided with a power transmitting member 42 driven by a power source 4, a follower wheel 43 having a shaft hole 46, and a reduction gear set 45 driven by the follower wheel. A chassis 2 made of a first member is connected to the disk tray 1 in the inner spaces thereof. The follower wheel is driven by a driving wheel. A rotary shaft support 5 made of a second high-temperature resistant material is inserted into the shaft hole of the follower wheel, and connected to the chassis so as to rotatably support the follower wheel. The disk tray is provided corresponding to an optical head, and connected to the reduction gear set of the driving means so as to be opened/closed.
