The balcony door handle comprises a plastics base body (6) with grip section (2) and fixing section (3) with screw hole (4) for a fixing screw and covered by a plastics cap (5) which is attached secured against loss to the base body by a film strip (7). The film strip can be connected with material bonding to the cap and/or base body e.g. through a moulded tab. The base body and cap can be injection moulded in a common mould.
