The camera scanner has an objective device (1), a CCD detector row (2) with series connected detector elements receiving the image provided by the objective device, coupled to an image processing device (3), for providing image recording signals, recorded on a recording medium (4). The camera control and the image processing device are switched to allow the image recording signals to be provided for a moving CCD detector row with the camera held still, or for a stationary CCD detector row with the camera rotated about an axis.
