<p>A transmission device has a priority information adding unit which repeats for each of the plurality of packets, an operation such that respective degrees of importance of a plurality of priorities are set for one packet, and priority information data are generated by using the plurality of priorities for addition to a packet header included in the packet; a transmission unit which transmits a plurality of packets; and a retransmission unit which receives a retransmission requesting packet and retransmits the packet which is requested to be retransmitted. A reception device has a reception unit which receives a plurality of packets; and a retransmission request unit which extracts a plurality of sequence numbers and a plurality of elements of priority information data, detects missing packets in accordance with the plurality of extracted sequence numbers and the plurality of elements of extracted priority information data, and requests a packet having a high degree of importance among the detected packets to be retransmitted.</p> |
