Rubber adhesive mix for producing vulcanized rubber/steel cord composites contains rubber(s) obtained by solution polymerization of dienes (I) and optionally vinyl-aromatic monomers (II) and introducing 0.05-5 wt.% hydroxyl and/or carboxylic acid/salt groups to give 0-50 wt.% (II) and 45-99.95 wt.% (I) with 0-50 wt.% 1,2- (vinyl) and 0-40 wt.% trans-1,4-units. It also contains 5-300 parts weight per 100 parts weight rubber (phr) of filler, 2-20 phr sulfur (source) and optionally additives. Rubber adhesive mix for producing vulcanized rubber/steel cord composites is based on rubber(s) obtained by solution polymerization of dienes (I) and optionally vinyl-aromatic monomers (II) and introduction of 0.05-5 wt.% hydroxyl and/or carboxylic acid or salt groups to give 0-50 wt.% (II) and 45-99.95 wt.% (I) units with 0-50 wt.% 1,2- (vinyl) and 0-40 wt.% trans-1,4-units. The mix contains 5-300 parts weight per 100 parts weight rubber (phr) of filler, 2-20 phr sulfur (source) and optionally other rubbers, rubber ancillaries and crosslinkers.
