<p>The invention concerns a method for obtaining in vitro mammal islet cells, characterised in that it comprises the following steps: a) preparing mammal pancreatic tissues by pancreas removal; b) dissociating the pancreatic tissues obtained at step (a) into isolated pancreatic cells; c) optionally eliminating endocrine cells from the pancreatic cells isolated at step (b); d) inducing dedifferentiation of the cells isolated at step (b) into ductal precursor cells; e) inducing redifferentiation of the ductal precursor cells obtained at step (d) into islet cells. The invention also concerns the use of the resulting islet cells for preparing a pharmaceutical composition for use in the treatment of pancreatic pathologies and in particular diabetes.</p> |
