The method for producing muffles, in particular, for pressed ceramics in dental practice involves application of pressure to the sleeve (1) in radial and/or axial direction during hardening of the embedding compound. Also claimed is a sleeve for implementation of the method. Such a sleeve comprises two joinable halves (2, 3) which are subjectable to a radial pressure by means of clamping devices (5, 6).
