<p>A system is disclosed which selects the size of the image to be displayed on a visual display device depending upon the number of pixels the image display device is using. Differently sized versions of an image can be created so that the size of the displayed image is independent of the number of pixels being used. Also disclosed is method for filling an area (10) on a screen by selecting an image and displaying the image (12) if it fits into the area (10), or selecting another image if it doesn"t. This process is repeated until the area is filled or the remaining space is too small to fit an image.</p> |
